A Neighbouring Community is a group of Christians who live in the same local neighbourhood and who are committed to one another, living out the good news of Jesus in their neighbourhood (defined as a set of streets within 10 min walking distance).

This is done by connecting with local people, building genuine long-term relationships, getting involved in local activities, and supporting the hopes and dreams of people in their neighbourhood. Each Community identifies and commits to a set of values and practices which align with loving God and loving neighbour, for example: regular prayer, sharing meals, sharing resources and skills, walking with those going through hard times.

There are two MBC Neighbouring Communities operating in Manurewa
